During the creation
of “Visual Movement” (2005), a project consisting of hanging mobiles, I had
gained the necessary technical experience and this spring decided to combine
those techniques to the refreshing qualities of fabric. The actual “sail”
shapes are designed purposely simple to allow the patterns and color of the
fabric to capture attention as the detail of the stitches stabilize the breeze
holding sails. Fabric Mobiles are constructed of aluminum cross bars, glass
ascents and various fabrics. The light weight material allows the mobiles to be
active in the slightest breeze.
