"Six Fabric Sails" A Wire Sculpture Mobile by LaVern David Thompson

This Matise' inspired mobile is 4.5ft. x 3ft.consist of six fabric sails (fabric sails are different material on each side) two counter weights supported by aluminum cross bars . It is part of the Fabric Mobile Collection and was selected for the exhibit at an artist showcase, gallery and studio called Hot Shops in Omaha, NE.

Kenetic Mobile "Bluedotfish" from the Fabric Mobiles Collection

At a height of around 25 inches Bluedotfish glides with the slightest breeze.  A flowing design complimented by a brightly patterned sail, colored glass gems and aluminum support bars.

Ovalcircle floats through space about 25 inches at its longest measurement. It is part of the Fabric Mobiles Collection summer edition created by LaVern David Wire Sculpture.

Yellowbluefish Kinetic Mobile  A large tail helps Yellowbluefish swim through the air with the ease of any fish flying through air. This mobile is about 22 inches long and a little chubby.

Fabric Mobile Inspired By Henri Matisse'

 During the creation of “Visual Movement” (2005), a project consisting of hanging mobiles, I had gained the necessary technical experience and this spring decided to combine those techniques to the refreshing qualities of fabric. The actual “sail” shapes are designed purposely simple to allow the patterns and color of the fabric to capture attention as the detail of the stitches stabilize the breeze holding sails. Fabric Mobiles are constructed of aluminum cross bars, glass ascents and various fabrics. The light weight material allows the mobiles to be active in the slightest breeze.
